Privacy

Note: No legal entity is registered for Certscan. This page describes current data practices. Contact details will be added when the owner supplies them.

What Certscan collects

Certscan opens a real TLS connection to the hostname you enter. Your hostname is used only to perform that check and is never stored — no database, no log, no cache. The result of the check is displayed to you in your browser session and discarded.

What Certscan does not collect

  • No hostnames are saved on any server.
  • No analytics scripts, cookies, or tracking are used on this site.
  • No account is required — there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to store about you.
  • No email address is collected. The site has no mailbox to receive one.

Third-party services

The site loads two font families from Google Fonts (Newsreader, IBM Plex Sans/Mono). Google's privacy policy applies to those requests. No other third-party service receives data from this site.

Data retention

Because no hostnames, IP addresses, or user identifiers are stored, there is nothing to retain, delete, or export. The TLS connection result exists in your browser until you navigate away or reload the page.

Your rights

If you have questions about data handling, contact details will be added here when the owner supplies them. At present no mailbox is available.

No mailbox is yet available. A privacy contact address and any required legal registration details will be published here when the owner supplies them. An honest gap is preferred to an unreachable address.
